The NVIDIA drivers as well as using system restore on my computer, both of which took me back to my original problem and making me have to go back into safe mode to disable the graphics card.

The computer runs fine, but without the graphics card enabled, everything is very primal in appearance and all of the "nice" graphic features that come with Windows 7 have been disabled. From there, I was able to restart my computer in normal mode and able toĪccess mostly everything on windows. I started the computer in safe mode and disabled the graphics card. I called tech support for Windows and they concluded that it was the graphics card that was giving me this problem. No Icons and I can't access anything on windows, as well as there being no task bar on the bottom of the screen. It did, but I could only see the desktop background and nothing else. I downloaded it from the site, and upon having to restart my computer, everything started up fine until I got to the login screen which was just a black screen again with my mouse pointer (that I could move around). Everything was working fine, graphics and all, aside from the black screen and pointer from the previous night.Īfter that, I tried installing KOTOR 2, an older game, that said I required the following NVIDIA update to play it. I just left the computer to try and finish the update overnight, and in the morning, I was able to wake up the computer from sleep mode and type in the product The desktop, there was just a black screen with the mouse pointer that I was able to move around. The laptop installed Windows flawlessly, but upon restarting my computer at the end of the instillation on So on Friday, I bought a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium (Family pack) so that I could put the new operating system on both my laptop and my desktop PC.
